The event was attend by representatives international volunteer groups such as the United Nations Volunteer (UNV) programme and the American Peace Corps, numerous members of local government agencies, the media, and non-govermental and community-based organizations. The exhibit provided opportunity for volunteer-involved organizations to promote their causes and activities.

Local volunteers also took the occasion to show volunteerism in action. The Red Cross Association in Kukes, for example, cleaned up and painted areas surrounding Mosques.

The Gostil High School, the local secondary school, established the Green Club, an environment conservation club, under the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Local Governance Project. The Club is aimed at encouraging students to volunteer to preserve the environment and learn different development issues.
