Belarus holds conference on volunteering and innovations on IVD

Minsk: On International Volunteer Day, a conference on "Volunteering in Belarus and Abroad: Social Technologies and Innovations" took place in Minsk on 3 December.
The conference was organized by the international exchange program Alumni Association of Professionals for Development with support from US Embassy in Belarus and in collaboration with several international non-governmental organizations.
More than 100 participants took part at the event, among them Belarusian representatives of international volunteer organizations, such as Nadezhda-Express (aka World Volunteers), LYVS – Belarus, New Group-Belarus (SCI), Next Stop New Life and New Faces - Belarus.
The opening statement "Volunteering in the USA" was delivered by Adam Brunner of the US National Council on the Aging, 11 volunteering and project reports of the Belarusian participants were also read.
The Alumni Association of Professionals for Development unites 250 Belarusian alumni of various international professional and educational training programs, for example, such as the Fulbright Program, Muskie/FSA Graduate Fellowship Program, FLEX, Community Connections and others.
Its main goal is to promote scientific research, educational programs, to provide Belarusians with resources on international educational and research programs.
