City of Bonn to raise funds for Bolivian street kids
23 November 2004

Bonn, Germany: The City of Bonn, together with the United Nations Volunteers’ staff, is organizing a fundraising campaign and a “volunteer walk” to support a street children’s project in Bolivia.

Together with the German-based organization Naira, the campaign will help provide food, shelter and education to children living on the streets of the capital La Paz.

The organizers will also hold a three-kilometer “Volunteer Walk” within Bonn City to promote the volunteerism and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), a set of objectives, including halving poverty, fight HIV/AIDS and empowering women, to be achieved by 2015.
