For some, vacationing and volunteerism mix  
Dermatologist Peggy Fuller paints and plasters houses that tsunami relief volunteers were building in Dalle, Sri Lanka. Fuller took a sabbatical from her successful practice after seeing the magnitude of the tsunami devastation to spend several weeks making and hauling cinder blocks, carting dirt, carrying water and sweeping. 1998 hurricane relief volunteer group continues to help Hondurans by Michael Moore

Missoula, Montana, USA: Missoula Medical Aid, a US-based volunteer group was "born in a hurricane". Hurricane Mitch, to be precise. Until now its volunteers are still committed to assist Honduran communities after the country was ravaged by the hurricane seven years ago.  Read article
