Volunteers in Asia (VIA) 
Since 1963, Volunteers in Asia (VIA) has helped thousands of Americans live and volunteer in Asia. If you are interested in cross-cultural exchange and furthering communication and understanding between the peoples of the United States and Asia, chances are there is a VIA program for you. VIA is looking for undergraduates, recent college graduates, and adults of all ages who are living in the United States and interested in exploring new opportunities. Fighting Illiteracy in Indonesia 
Teaching literacy is Bahrul Ulumiyah Suheb’s driving passion. A teacher by profession, Bahrul makes her living by teaching elementary school students and also gives a great deal of her time and energy as a volunteer with Koalisi Perempuan Indonesia—a non-profit organization focusing on women’s empowerment and on the abolishment of illiteracy.   Visit site
