Ireland: Volunteer appreciation event held on IVD 2007

In order to mark the tremendous work that volunteers do in voluntary organizations across Irelanda a volunteer appreciation will be held at the Tivoli Venue on 5th Dec 2007.

The event consisted of:  

  • Holding a thank you party in the Tivoli Venue on 5th Dec 2007
  • Evening event – social and appreciation event
  • For full –time and part-time volunteers… this demographic is approximately 18-30… however there is no upper age limit, so older volunteers may attend.
  • Theme – celebrating the many different cultures of people who volunteer!  (i.e. Irish, Polish, English, African, Hungarian, Turkish, German, Indian, French, Italian, American, Canadian, Slovakian… and the list goes on!)

On arrival:

  • All volunteers will be given a complementary drink (this is where you come in) J  Opportunity for you to support the good work of charities and their volunteers as well as positively advertise to a captive audience!

During the night: 

  • Spot prizes throughout the evening
  • Bands
  • DJ’s

There will be volunteers from organisations all over Ireland in attendance… such as volunteers from Depaul Trust, Dublin Simon, Simon Communities, Casa Breakhouses, Friends of the Elderly, Cheshire Homes, Oxfam, Barnardos, Voluntary Service International, Bantry & Dunmanway SCP, Leargas, Volunteering Ireland, Volunteer Centres Ireland, etc.
