Young European volunteers needed in medical emergencies
19 March 2004

Olgiate, Italy: The Olgiate Comasco-Public Assistance Association, a volunteer organization focusing on medical and first aid assistance, is seeking for volunteers from Europe, ages 15 to 25, to join the European Voluntary Service (EVS) programme.

Volunteers will be supporting Olgiate Comasco’s staff in organizing medical first aid courses, for example, preparing course materials, teaching the course and participating in first aid simulation activities. The volunteer assignment will be for one year, starting September 2004, located in Olgiate City in northern Italy. The deadline for application is 25 March 2004.

Olgiate Comasco is looking for motivated, responsible and flexible volunteers, preferably with experience in providing first aid and with a driving licence.

The EVS is part of the Youth Programme, a European Union programme that promotes the mobility of young people through international activities with a non-formal education dimension such as youth exchanges, voluntary services, youth initiatives and training of youth workers.
