23 December 2002

Almaty: The United Nations Volunteer (UNV) programme in Kazakhstan today launched "Volunteering in Kazakhstan", a summary of a national survey conducted early this year. The report shows how volunteerism has contributed to the country’s social development and estimates the economic value of volunteer work. The report also helped put volunteerism in the Government’s agenda.
