Olympics & Live Aid in a mixer

Lotopa, Samoa: The beautiful islands of Samoa will be celebrating all of its volunteers on IVD.  All the people that offer their time to help make the Pacific paradise a paradise for all, young, old, poor, hungry, disabled, ill or animal.

The volunteers, with the help from the United Nations are throwing a music-cum-sports spectacle.  Imagine the Olympics and Live Aid put into a cocktail mixer, a dash of coconuts, palm trees, sunshine and smiles, shaken, not stirred and poured out onto St Joseph’s College, Lotopa’s sports field.  Local artists will volunteer and perform Samoa’s unique blend of rhythm, beats, and vocal delights.  Laying the soundtrack to accompany the action on the sports field.  Teams made up of volunteers from across Samoa and the world will compete in events ranging from races on bouncy castles, volleyball, football, and all the way from Japan, ‘Backside Sumo’.  Volunteer organisations from all over Samoa will be there to promote and encourage IVD Samoa 2006’s motto: “Volunteering – GIVE IT A GO!”.
