From blood donation to tree planting, Sri Lanka celebrates IVD

Colombo, Sri Lanka: The IVD celebrations were held in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, with activities including country wide tree plantation, bicycle race,  street clean-up drives, village tree planting, blood donation, government hospital clean-up campaigns, Wheel chairs distribution for disabled people. There were also discussion meetings, Worldwide photo exhibition depicting volunteer activities, free medical health camps, distribution of lunch for the hospital patients, inauguration of IAVE Volunteer chapter, painting of hospital beds, and more.

The recent road clean-up campaign shramadana  was held at Tennepanguwa village of Badulla district, Sri Lanka organized by IAVE chapter volunteers and students participated by village people. The shramadana was participated by nearly 100 people dedicating their valuable time and labor supported by the local officials. The work camp followed by a cultural program was also organized by the local youth groups.
