Uganda: United Way for the Needy 
Kampala, Uganda: United Way, a non-governmental organisation based in the US has opened a charity branch in Uganda last Friday. United Way who focuses mainly on volunteering to help the unprivileged, has been in Uganda for the last two years but was yet to be formally launched.  Read article

World to walk for Ugandan war children by Daniel Wallis
Kampala, Uganda: Activists from 47 cities will symbolically recreate the nightly trek of Ugandan children who are in constant danger of being kidnapped by the "notoriously brutal" Lord's Resistance Army rebels. These volunteers hope that their "GuluWalks" will draw more people to join them and help achieve peace in northern Uganda.  Read article
