About the Instructor: Maria Casey is the Director of Volunteer Resources at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York. Her background includes supervising one of the largest program, training and volunteer development departments. She has created and implemented trainings for the foundation in such areas as fundraising, wish-granting, volunteer development, speakers' bureau, train the trainer, and mentor training programs. Maria holds a BA from Adelphi University and an MS from Long Island University at C.W. Post. She has served on the Advisory Board for Idealist.org, Action Without Borders, and serves on the NYAVA Nominating Committee, the Saint Peter's Church Bereavement Group, and the St. Francis Preparatory School Online Mentoring program.
