IVD celebration in Ho Chi Minh City

This year the main objectives of IVD day in Ho Chi Minh City are to thank volunteers for their contributions, to raise awareness about volunteerism, and to inform people about volunteer opportunities. The celebration, coordinated by Education for Development (EFD), will be held in Hoang Van Thu Park in the morning of 6 December.

The event is an opportunity for local and international volunteer involving organizations to highlight and thank volunteers for all their contributions. It will be a morning of celebration, information and fun activities.  This is a great opportunity for volunteers to come together and share their experiences and for people interested in volunteering to become aware of volunteer opportunities.

The morning’s activities will involve games, quizzes, performances, interviews with outstanding volunteers, roleplays showing examples of volunteers work and questions and answers on volunteerism. Tents will be set up in the park where volunteer involving organizations will display their work and inform people on how they can become a volunteer.
