Junior Handball World Championship
Cairo, Egypt: The Junior Handball World Championship will be held in Egypt in August 2009, and the Egyptian Handball Federation needs volunteers (males and females between the age of 17 and 30 years) with proficiency in English, French or German plus Arabic to escort the participating teams during their stay in Egypt.

Sport Volunteering Seminar – “Making the Right Connections”
This national seminar will bring together the world of sport and volunteering to examine volunteering in sport from national policy to local good practice with speakers from volunteering, the voluntary sector, leisure and sport. On 18 October 2006 Baroness Julia Neuberger, Chair of the Commission on the Future of Volunteering will be kicking off the day. Sport England and Volunteering England will jointly present and take questions about their sport volunteering work. Amoung the other speakers are local Volunteer Centres and independent experts from sports development.
