Among the many volunteers dealing with the aftermath of the Sichuan
earthquake are hundreds of doctors, nurses and other medical staff. With the roads in poor repair, they must often travel on foot dressed as if for the surgery.Originally from Sichuan herself, Liu Hui is a UNV volunteer serving with the Beijing Youth League in the UNDP/UNV-supported 'Strengthening Volunteerism in China through the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games'project. After the 12 May earthquake, she volunteered to assist and is posting photographs of what she sees.
