13th World Scout Moot 2010: 27th July - 7th August 2010
YACD is a youth association in Morocco that provides young people with knowledge and skills, while promoting peace, tolerance and solidarity. World Youth Conference, Mexico City, Mexico: 23-28 August 2010
The World Organization of Scout Movement’s 13th World Scout Moot will be hosted by The Kenya Scouts Association on behalf of Africa Scout Region. As the first Scout Moot to be held in Africa, it’s a very special occasion for the whole continent. Young adults aged 18 – 25 years will come together to share experiences and participate in offering of service to communities. America's top ten youth volunteers
The Government of Mexico, in partnership with the United Nations system and civil society organizations initiated a conference to bring together government representatives and civil society organizations to discuss and reflect upon the role youth plays in achieving peace and development. WYC Mexico 2010 will be a space for the international community to dialogue and reflect upon the role of youth, in their contribution to define actions for the fulfilment of the MDGs and the new agenda of development that will be established in 2015. V::I::P - Promotion of Local and International Youth Volunteering for Peace Building and Conflict Resolution in Europe
During Global Youth Service Day, millions of youth around the world organize community service projects to address the needs of their local communities through service, to be recognized for their contributions, and to be a part of a global youth service movement.

IVD roundtable in Albania
The report presents good practices workshops on local youth volunteering projects for conflict resolution and peace building in Europe, discusses the role of donors and governments in stimulating the potential of volunteering, and showcases the diverse contributions of volunteering to the peace building and conflict resolution process. Yoith Service Initiative (Netherlands)
Li Shuo will never forget what she did this summer. "I was part of the Olympics," the 20-year-old student from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine said.
Li was not an athlete taking part in the Games, but did what many would also think was equally meaningful - serving as a volunteer for her Olympic host city.
"I feel so lucky and proud to have been a part of such a historic event and it will probably be the most valuable chapter of my life," Li told China Daily Thursday, the eve of International Volunteer Day. Visit site
YSI is an organization founded by young people, for young people. The overall aim is to create a youth culture of service’ by encouraging young people to take initiative in their community.
