Volunteering in Hong Kong
22 February 2006, 10:01

Resource to share:
It is getting easier to volunteer in Hong Kong. You can now go to www.ho-sum.org and find one-time or on-going volunteer opportunities. To participate, you have to become a volunteer member first. All projects posted on the website are held by government registered charities, so volunteers will not be "abused" by commercial companies. Have fun volunteering!

Volunteerism is a call from God. Hence, "service to humanity is the best work of life". It is a degree of peace, love, hospitality and the promotion of Globalisation. God bless all volunteers. Love from cameroon

If you're looking to volunteer and don't have a lot of time to spare or are new to Hong Kong and don't know how to start volunteering, check out Hands On Hong Kong (www.handsonhongkong.org).

Hands On is a nonprofit organization that provides flexible volunteer opportunities to busy individuals like you. We partner with local charities that work with children, people with special needs, the elderly, immigrants, and others. Our volunteer activities do not require a long-term commitment. Many of our activities are also in English, ideal for expats, and a great way to meet people with similar interests. Signing up to volunteer is free, easy, and all online!
