Held fair on how volunteerism combats HIV/AIDS and encouraging Namibians to volunteer to look after children orphaned by HIV/AIDS

Togo
Distribution of mosquito nets in pediatric clinics to prevent the spread of malaria

Uganda
Visiting volunteer-run orphanage and distributed food, clothes, toys to HIV-orphaned or infected children (claimed to be the most neglected issue in the country)

MDG 6 -- Volunteering to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS and malaria

Cambodia
Held an AIDS walk in the capital Phnom Penh, with HIV-infected people, their families and civil society groups

DR Congo
Conducted a stage play to raise AIDS awareness amongst police, soldiers and young people.

Namibia
Distribution of mosquito nets in pediatric clinics to prevent the spread of malaria

Uganda
Cleaned the city and eliminated mosquito breeding grounds

MDG 7 – Volunteering for the environment – ensure environmental sustainability

India
Volunteers cleaning up biggest river in New Delhi; with street plays to generate public awareness on the river’s pollution level

Jamaica
Teaching elementary school students how to recycle waste and decrease water consumption

Maldives
Distributing cloth shopping bag and setting-up info stands on supermarkets to reduce usage of plastic and distribute info on environment.
