The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, UNDP and the local organization Youth for Peace and Development (YFPD) are pleased to invite you to the  nomination of 'The Best Volunteer of the Year', organized in observance of International Volunteer Day.

The event, first of this kind in Armenia, is organized to highlight volunteers’ paramount contributions to economic and human development, which benefit both society at large and the individual volunteer.

The event will take place at Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre’s Winter Garden on 5 December at 2 o’clock pm in Yerevan, 6 Grigor Lusavorich Street.

On the following, agenda of the day:

14:00 – 14:30: Opening of the event

Welcome Speeches by:

• Mrs. Consuelo Vidal, UN Resident Coordinator / UNDP Resident Representative
• Mr. Armen Grigoryan, Ministry of Youth and Sport
• Mr. Dirk Boberg, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative
• Mr. Hovhannes Bayburtyan, Youth For Peace and Development Organization’s President

14:30 – 15:00: Reception

14:00 – 16:00: Volunteer Involving Organizations’ Faair

15:00 – 16:00: “The Best Volunteer of the Year” Award Ceremony

16:00: closing of the event.
