Dentists volunteer to offer free treatment by Samuel Eyambe
Here is the final report of the results of our activity on the IVD 2005. We partnered with the Sudanese Oral Health Association, who came up with 12 dentists and 18 final year dental students from the University of Khartoum to volunteer. Two dentists supervised the medical camp.  Read entry

School clubs join hands to work towards a cleaner Albania by Bhuvan Silwal
With facilitation support from UNDP, there was a full-day programme for celebration of IVD in Kukes Municipality, Albania. The programme had three components: Cleaning campaign by the Green Clubs in the Kukes high school vicinity, interaction programme on IVD in the High school premises, and training on how to manage Green Clubs for club leaders in Kukes district.  Read entry

Outstanding volunteers awarded in Alberta, Canada 
Edmonton, Canada: Forty-five Albertans were recognized by the Alberta government for their outstanding contributions to their communities. The awards presentation took place in Edmonton on 5 December, coinciding with the International Volunteer Day.   Read article
