10 November 2004

New Delhi, India: To promote the spirit of volunteerism among Indian youth, iVolunteer, in association with SRTT, has introduced a new programme called India Fellow (IF), a summer internship programme for six weeks.

The internship aims to expose students to many development challenges that India is facing today.

This fellowship programme is designed to be a life changing experience. Fellows would be living and working in the community through a partner non-profit organization. This would expose them to "real" situation at the grassroots level.

Those interested should fill out the volunteer relationship form; it will be followed by selection and orientation processes.

The internship will start May 2005 and deadline for application is 15 January 1005.
