Any best practices in doing V-Expo?

We currently are planning a 'V-Expo' in the capital Bishkek, with as many local volunteer involving organizations represented as possible. The public will be invited to find out what volunteerism is all about, and to sign up to volunteer activities, with parallel events happening in other towns and cities across the country. I'd be interested in receiving any extra resources or ideas for IVD, especially if there are any best practice examples of organizing this kind of broad-ranging, outward looking exhibition or fair promoting volunteerism in all its forms, involving all generations, and ranging from local to international, grassroots community exchange to specialized technical advice.

Many thanks.
