Greetings from DAY Bangladesh Youth Volunteers.

Here is a brief schedule of the programme organized to mark the IVD celebration in Dhaka. It is organized by a voluntary youth organization called the Development Association for Youth (DAY Bangladesh).

On the occasion of International Volunteer Day on 5th December 2005, the DAY Bangladesh will organize a Charity health care camp in its regular weekly Health Care Centre at Gandaria in old Dhaka city from 2.00 to 5.00.

A volunteer Doctor (MBBS), 1 Nurse, 1 Pharmasist, 4 health worker and number of Youth Volunteers will work at this camp and we hope this camp will provide necessary medicine and doctor prescription free of cost to at least 60 to 70 distressed women and children. It is to be noted that since the foundation of this weekly Health Care Programme in 1999 to till to date every year we provide this services to about 2500 patient and every week in monday 6 youth volunteer work voluntarily in this programme as a regular activity of our organization.

The local community Chairman, School Head Master, Parents, Students, Social Worker and other volunteers will be attend at this programme to encourage our regular volunteers.

A voluntary blood donation Camp will also be organized on the IVD. This blood donation programme will be held on 16 December 2005  at Faridabad High School from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM. About 50 to 60 volunteers expected to donate blood to the Coantam Foundation Blood Bank.
