Seoul, Korea: JW Marriott Hotel Seoul along with other Korean hotel chains of Marriott International Inc. -- Ritz Carlton Seoul Hotel, Renaissance Seoul Hotel, Busan Marriott Hotel and Ritz Carlton Country Club _ have joined volunteer activities to help the poor in coorporation with Habitat for Humanity Korea (HFH Korea), a nonprofit organization for low-income families.
Activities of HFH Korea are completed through volunteering and donations of money. Houses built by the organization are sold to homeless families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans with long-term plans.
About 40 associates from JW Marriott Hotel Seoul volunteered to help build houses on Aug. 25-26 in Chonan and Asan in South Chungchong Province.
"This is not just an activity to build houses. It is a meaningful event of constructing homes for families. The event will bring hopes, dreams and homes to the needy. Marriott International chain hotels will continue participating in voluntary events to benefit our community," aid Mark Satterfield, the General Manager at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul.
