Not enough volunteers in Barbados, says Inniss

Volunteer sees age as no impediment to her work 
Taipei: After having served as a volunteer swimming coach for 23 years, 70-year-old Chao Yueh-nu has now expanded her work to other social service areas, saying that "one is never too old, nor it ever too late to be a volunteer."  Visit site

Teach India: Appealing to the spirit of volunteerism amongst citizens 
Teach India was launched on 6 June 2008 in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai as a social initiative of the Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. in partnership with Times Foundation and the United Nations Volunteers programme. Basic education, support classes and story-telling volunteer programmes are part of the initiative.  Visit site

Shanghai firms join volunteer alliance by Wang Hongyi
Shanghai, China: The country's first volunteers' alliance between multinational firms was established in Shanghai to mark the 23rd International Volunteer Day.

The Make A Difference Alliance, initiated by the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, is designed to encourage firms and their employees to organize charitable activities and campaigns across China.
