We, then called IT in Isan (northeast Thailand), started testing IT learning for poor children and teenagers in 2001 as an effort to help bridge the digital divide. By now we reach out to about 60 projects around Thailand and in Laos, Cambodia, Nepal, mostly schools, but also orphanages, hospitals, tsunami learning centers, eco tourism projects with national parks and home stay villages. We have some 100 overseas volunteers joining our projects every year. Openmind Projects is funded 100 % by volunteers’ contributions and does not accept any other funding.
