Lotus Children's Home 
The Lotus Children’s Home in Kathmandu, Nepal, cares for children through the support of both local and international volunteers, and ensures that the children receive a proper education. For international volunteers, language and culture classes are provided during the beginning of their stay. Both short and long-term volunteers are welcome, and the length of time to volunteer is up to each volunteer.  Visit site
Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) 
Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international humanitarian organisation that provides emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters, or exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries.  MSF provides aid where it is most needed, regardless of race, religion, or politics, and strives to raise awareness of the plight of the people we assist.  MSF teams are composed of international volunteers and skilled local staff. Together, they work closely with national medical professionals and cooperate with other aid organisations.  A private non-profit association, MSF is an international network with offices in 19 countries.  Visit site
Mercy Ships 
Mercy Ships is a global charity providing developing countries with free medical and surgical services. It also helps local communities develop sustainable water, sanitation and education programs. The charity operates the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship, the Africa Mercy, staffed with volunteer doctors, nurses, engineers and agriculturists who visit ports in some of the world’s poorest countries.  Visit site
Merowa Junior Academy (MJA) 
The MJA school in Uganda improves the life of HIV/AIDS orphanes or children of poor families through education, and is additionally able to create jobs for local youths. The school hosts local volunteers as well as volunteers from around the world that are willing to help in educational and cultural programmes.   Visit site
