Peace Corps 
Since 1961, more than 178,000 Peace Corps Volunteers have been invited to 138 host countries to work on various issues including AIDS education, information technology, and environmental preservation. Points of Light Foundation 
The Points of Light Foundation engages and mobilizes millions of volunteers in the USA through a partnership with the Volunteer Center National Network. Some programmes of the network include national websites providing volunteers with a direct connection to local volunteer opportunities. There are also resources for parents, teachers, and community leaders who want to engage families in volunteer activities.  Visit site
Projects Abroad 
Projects Abroad sends volunteers abroad to 20 countries to do 150 different internships and service projects. Founded in 1992, we have grown to a team of 200 people around the world that sends 3000 volunteers annually. Volunteers can go at any time, for as long as they wish. Our most popular programs include: medical and nursing placements, childcare and teaching projects, as well as business and journalism internships.  Visit site
ProWorld Service Corps  
The mission of ProWorld is to promote social and economic development, empower communities, and cultivate educated compassionate global citizens. Red Cross / Red Crescent (IFRC) 
On these pages you will find information about how you can volunteer with IFRC's 186 National Societies around the world and help in their mission to assist the lives of the most vulnerable. The International Federation does not recruit volunteers to work overseas, as it works through its National Societies. Right to Play 
Right To Play is an athlete-driven international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play as a tool for the development of children and youth in the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Right To Play is committed to improving the lives of these children and to strengthening their communities by translating the best practices of sport and play into opportunities to promote development, health and peace. Right To Play engages and trains Local and International Volunteers who work with communities to implement our programs. Seventy seven International Volunteers were sent to the field in 2005, and together with Local Coaches, reached approximately 500,000 children and youth on a weekly basis  Visit site
RMS Refugee Resettlement 
Each year, the New Zealand government selects 750 refugees for resettlement. The non-profit organization RMS Refugee Resettlement is the agency which helps them to resettle in their new communities. It operates a unique programme which trains volunteers to work alongside refugees as they begin to settle into their new communities.  Visit site
