Nominations open for Australia’s national volunteer awards
27 April 2005

Canberra: Volunteering Australia, in partnership with the National Volunteer Awards, has opened nominations for the National Australia Bank Volunteer Award.

Through the awards, the National Bank seeks to pay tribute to the outstanding volunteer work conducted over the year. When nominating, organizations should focus on the achievements of their volunteer programme as the basis of their nomination, rather than on the money and why they need it.

The award is Australia's biggest volunteer awards programme and will continue to reward and recognize community groups that demonstrate volunteering leadership. Deadline for nomination is 1 July 2005.
