If you have any news, press releases, documents, links or other information resources related to volunteerism that you would like to share with wider audience, this website is the right place to contribute to. Send them to us and we will post them to this website and also feature them in our Global Volunteer Update newsletter (published in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish). 

Please read our submission guidelines before submitting your contributions. Here are the types of content we would like to post on the World Volunteer Web and how best to submit them to us:

News and press releases/announcements
Please send news or press releases to us at All submissions will be reviewed and may be edited. To ensure your submission is accepted, you should follow standard press release or journalistic news writing styles. If available, please attach any photos or graphics related to the news.

Other articles and documents
Send your document or article along with a summary of no more than 400 words highlighting its main points. It is important that you state that you hold copyright over the document and that you grant us permission to post the document on your behalf.

Use the event submission form to send us announcements about your own events or to suggest other events to be listed in our calendar of events. Check the box at the bottom of the form if it's an International Volunteer Day (IVD) event.

Websites and other links
Suggest relevant websites and other links by sending them to Please include the name of the website, the name of the organization and a brief description (in 50 words) of the website's content.

You can also share your ideas, experiences and resources with the Volunteer Web network by posting them to the Speakers' Corner discussion forum.
